Beauty Protocol, Study 02: Application.
Head tilted back, eyes half closed, a brush at the lower lip. The pigment is going on under measured conditions: brush pressure 0.35 N, edge control within 0.4 mm, eye angle lifted 3.2 degrees. A calibration seam runs down the side of the neck. Every part of the gesture is annotated except the one that matters, the hand doing it.

Study 01 measured the face. Here the first thing is applied to it. The protocol note records that digital normalisation produced a cleaner finish but removed the irregularity that made the application read as human, so the original variation was kept. The drawing is monochrome ink on cream, the only colour is red: the lips, the nails, the brush tip and the single word that names the study.

Care

Machine wash inside out at 30°C on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Hang dry away from direct sunlight. Iron on low, inside out, and never directly over the print. Do not dry clean.
